Grammy Award winners and family music veterans Cathy & Marcy fuse their talents with Washington, DC's young hip-hop sensation Christylez Bacon. Beatbox meets the banjo, nursery rhyme meets the hip-hop fractured fairy tale and traditional folk song meets a whole new sound!

Banjo To Beatbox features Grammy Acollaborate with Christylez Bacon, a young hip-hop artist from DC. Beatbox (mouthdrums) meets the banjo, nursery rhyme meets the hip-hop fractured fairy tale and the traditional folk song meets a whole new sound! We met Christylez while he was Artist in Residence at The Music Center at Strathmore and we were artist "mentors". He's energetic, hip, and he's really fun. We wrote the "Hip-Hop Humpty Dumpty" together using cello banjo, five-string banjo, beatbox and ashiko.
