Jason Ringenberg - A Day At The Farm With Farmer Jason

Believe it or not, when Farmer Jason recorded A Day at the Farm with Farmer Jason, he had no intention of becoming an internationally renowned children’s recording artist. Unlike his twin brother, alt-country legend Jason Ringenberg, Farmer Jason had no desire to be under fame’s glaring spotlight. He was perfectly happy living and working on his Tennessee farm with his family and menagerie of farm critters.

So, Farmer Jason decided that he should write and record an entire CD of songs about his farm and animals. He figured the songs would help calm and entertain the critters. After all, animals love music too! Soon the accolades began pouring in. The Australian Kangaroo Farmers Weekly said: “Move over Springsteen, move over U2, move over Rover. There’s a rising star on the horizon and he drives a John Deere!”

You can imagine how Farmer Jason’s no account twin brother Jason Ringenberg felt about his instant success: He was John Deere-green with envy!! He toured the world for 25 years, recorded 8 CDs with Jason and the Scorchers (two which are considered country rock classics), helped to invent the alt-country genre, and launched a successful worldwide solo career. Then without even trying his brother Farmer Jason accidentally becomes famous and steals his thunder!
